Hello humans! My name is Jake. I am a 2 year old, 80 pound handsome man. I have so many great qualities- I like other dogs, cats, kids, and everyone else I meet. I am a little shy at first, but I warm up quickly. Don't have a fenced in yard? No problem! I have no desire to go to far away and I come when I am called. My mission in life is to make my humans happy! I am very calm, laid back dog. I love going for car rides- my longest trip was a 5 hour ride up north. When we went up north we spent a lot of time in the water and I loved it! I even went on a little canoe ride. I bet none of the other dogs you know have done that. I love laying in the water and would love a home with a little kiddie pool for me to hang out in. I do have one struggle that I have been working through- I get a little nervous when I get left alone. But my momma believes that once I am fully crate-trained, I will do well at home alone. However, my ideal home would be with either a retired couple, stay-at-home mom, or someone who works part-time. Please let me show you how good of a boy I am! I promise you will fall in love with me. Sorry Jake is not available for adoption at this time
Curly is a sweet boy, neutered and about 8 years old. Don’t let his age fool you, he loves to go for his walk/run on the trail and bounces his ball or toy around when he gets peppy, yet he is mild mannered. He is used to horses, other dogs, chickens and cats. He is great with small children who do not understand the proper way to approach an unknown dog. He is friendly to strangers, and you can take his food dish away without any disagreement. House trained, crate trained, nail trimming trained and is a wonderful walking/running partner as he does not pull. Loves to be with his human partner (follows me everywhere), loves to be brushed, bonds very easily to anyone and just loves to be a part of a family. Curly does require a fenced in yard, or tied when outside, as he does like to meet the neighbors. Invisible fencing would probably work well for him, however, he has not been tested with one.
Meet Luka, a two-year-old fun, goofy and smart male German Shepherd looking for an experienced GSD home.
Luka is very play driven; he would turn down a steak dinner for a session of jolly ball! His energy level can be on the high side, so he will do best in a home with space and work, which can include obedience training and continued socialization, work in tracking or herding, or any activity where he gets to use his busy mind and young active body. A home more on the quiet side, with a fenced area, would be wonderful for Luka. He loves to go along on bicycle rides with the Walky Bar, which turn his busy mind into one of complete focus.
Luka tends to have a case of the worries, so he will need you to continue to guide him to realize the world is not out to get him. This type of behavior isn't too uncommon with GSDs that have not had a lot of experience and exposure during their adolescence and this takes time and patience to work with, but when you see that proud look and tail expression on Luka -- the look of 'I did it' -- it is all worth it!
Luka is affectionate and snugly, wanting to jump into bed with you if given the opportunity. He is a 'shadow' or 'velcro' boy, tending to want to be as close to you as he can be.
Luka has the strikingly handsome GSD look, but with the more rare 'ay fawn' coloring. Luka loves the ladies. His BFFs are a young female rottie and his foster sister GSD.
Are you the person that will bring the light into Luka's eyes, to make him into a happy and secure dog through his young life and forever on?______________________________________________________________
